Macau Province - Sam Ba Sing Tsik

If you first time come to Macau, the most familiar symbol is Sam Ba Sing Tsik which is the front wall of the sacred ruins of the St. Paul's Church. Since its establishment in 1602, the Church experienced big fire three times, the most serious one of which occurred in 1853 with only the front wall being left, i. e. the Sam Ba Sing Tsik of today. And then you may visit the Monte Fortress which is situated by the side of Sam Ba Sing Tsik. Inside the Fortress, there laid an old iron cannon which is said to have pushed back the attacks from Dutch in 1622. After lunch, you may visit the A-Ma Temple, the oldest temple in Macau with a history of over 500 years.

It is otherwise known for Temple of Tin Hau, the Queen of Heaven and protectress of Seafarers. Finally you come to the nearby Maritime Museum, which mainly introduces sea ships used by the early Portuguese to come to Macau, the traditional Chinese fishing boats, fishing means and different means of water communication etc used in Macau today.
