Mount Liupan National Forest Park lies in the place where three provinces meet, they are Ningxia, Gansu and Shaanxi. In addition,it is located in the center of the triangular area formed by three cities-xian,Yinchuan and Lanzhou, and covers three counties: Jinyuan, Guyuan and Longde. With total area of 67800 hectares, there are lofty mountains, thick forest, abundant animals and plants in the park. The highest peak called Migang mountain is 2942 meters above sea level.The average temperature is about 5.8 with an average annual rainfall of 676mm,and comparative humidity of 60%-70%. It is an important "green island" "damp island" and a forest base in the northwest.

As a combined area of the central farming culture and northern nomadic culture, and the only access of the Silk Road,even the place of strategic importance,Mount Liupan National Forest Park has more than seven main scenic spots ,such as Yehegu(wild lotus valley),Erlong River(Two-Dragon River ),Guimenguan(gate of hell-danger spot), Liangdianxia (Cool Palace Corge ), xiaonan plain,Baiyun Mountain and the Museum of Red Army Long March, and more than 60 historical attractions,which becom a wonderful place for entertaining ,escaping summer heat, the exploring forest and inspecting for scientific purposes.

Erlonghe (Two Dragon River) , an important tributary of the upper reaches of Jing River, with thick forest, beautiful mountains and green water, is a good place for summer resort ,It is called Erlong River,because the two small rivers converge seemed like silver dragons here.

Guimenguan is situated in the southeast of Erlonghe (Two Dragon River).With two huge stones facing to face in the deep forest, it is called Guimenguan. Deep forest, it is called Guimenguan. Xiaonanchuan is a natural scenic spot taking artificial coniferous forest and dense secondary forest as the main features. With more than 20 waterfalls and 13 scenic spots, it is praised as "Jiangnan Jiuzhaigou in the North".

The ecological plant garden forms a characteristic of regional landscape, including Chinese flowers, medical herbs and forest ecological culture.
Liangdianxia (Cool Palace Gorge) with a mild and damp climate, has been a good summer resort since ancient times. Mongolian conqueror Genghis Khan (supreme conqueror) once stationed and died of illness here during the sixth conquest of Western Xia.

Yehegu (Wild Lotus Valley), a natural green long aisle, has many beautiful hills, stones, flowers , and small streams etc, which can make you relax and melded with nature.

Mount Liupan National Forest Park was listed as a 4A ecological tourist area in December 2006. It has not only northern and southern beauty, but also original natural landscape. The park has become a paradise for tourists.
